Dan Logue for Assembly

Conservative Republican

Standing Tall Against Liberalism

Fight Illegal Immigration

America needs to secure its borders. We need to enforce our immigration laws or no one will respect them.

Dan Logue’s plan to fight illegal immigration:

  • Stop illegal immigrants, terrorists and drug dealers from walking into the U.S.
  • Deploy a trained state police force to secure the border if the federal government doesn't act.
  • Make the federal government reimburse California the $750 million a year it spends incarcerating them.
  • Oppose drivers’ licenses for illegal immigrants as giving legal identification to those here illegally undermines national security.
  • Make it illegal for cities to enact policies that won’t allow police to review immigration status of suspected criminals.
  • End taxpayer-subsidized college educations and other "magnets" that pull illegal immigrants across the border.
  • Outlaw bail so illegal immigrants can’t break our laws then flee the country.

Strengthen the Economy

As Supervisor, Dan helped bring over 1200 new jobs to the County. He helped reduce unemployment since 1997 by 40% and turn a community that suffered from high unemployment into the commercial center of the county.

He bucked liberal power brokers to grow the economy by putting his beliefs in limited government and free enterprise to work.

Under Dan’s leadership the county enjoyed a 9.4 percent gain in 2005 median income over the previous year. That was the state’s largest percentage gain in the state! And sales tax revenue rose by 41%

In the Assembly, Dan will work with business to improve California’s business climate and will reject legislative efforts to hand our state’s job creators the bill for health care and other mandates.

Opposing Higher Taxes

Dan has NEVER raised taxes while serving on the Board of Supervisors. He signed Americans for Tax Reform's No New Taxes Pledge and will NEVER vote for a tax hike in the Assembly.

In the Assembly, he will oppose all efforts to give our families the bill for Sacramento’s repeated failure to manage its own finances.

He will protect homeowners by opposing ALL efforts to water down Proposition 13.

Cutting Government Waste

When county departments were asked to cut budgets by 10% in 2004, Dan Logue led by example cut his own salary by 10 %.

He will take that same attitude toward Sacramento and turn government’s attention away from taking more of your tax dollars and focus attention on how to get more from our tax dollars.

Fighting Crime

As County Supervisor, Dan has worked to put more deputies on patrol and give law enforcement the tools needed to keep us safe.

In the Assembly, he will continue his commitment to public safety by working to enact laws that protect law abiding citizens from criminals, drug dealers, gangs and random acts of violence.

Fighting the Liberal Agenda

As a longtime Republican Party activist and leader, Dan has served as County Co-chair for Ronald Reagan's presidential campaign and as County Chairman of both President Bush’s and Governor Schwarzenegger’s re-election campaigns.

His efforts earned him the California Republican Party’s Northeast Chairman's Patriot Award in 2005.

Dan fought for those candidates because he believed in the principles of the Republican Party.

And, he fought for those Republicans because he believed that liberals like Nancy Pelosi and Phil Angelides will run our state and nation into the ground if we let them.

Fighting for the North State's Fair Share

In Sacramento, Dan will work hard to get the north state its fair share of education, transportation, and transportation dollars.

He will oppose budgets that send more to Los Angeles and San Francisco than they deserve.

Demanding Excellence from Our Schools

As Supervisor, Dan worked closely with school officials to protect our kids from drugs, violence and sex offenders.

In the Assembly, Dan will support a strong education program that will ensure all students can read, write and speak English before they graduate from high school.

He will work to keep class sizes small so children can learn.

He will work to give parents, teachers and administrators more say in how our schools are run so fewer decisions are made by bureaucrats in Sacramento.

He will fight to get the North State its fair share of education dollars and fight to give our children the opportunity to receive the quality education they deserve.

Protecting Our Freedoms

As California State Chairman of the Freedom Council, Dan promoted the teaching of America's great heritage in our High Schools and Colleges.

In the Assembly, he will continue his efforts to stand up our veterans because they risked their lives to protect our freedoms.

He will also fight for your freedoms by protecting your property rights, opposing liberal efforts to water down the second amendment and keeping more of your hard-earned dollars in your pocketbook.
